I ordered materials for making a Waldorf doll months and months ago. I started making one a month or so after I received them, got to the hair and put it down. About a week ago, I finally picked the poor thing up again, and started working on the hair. S/he's almost done. A little more hair, a hair cut (style depends on whether we decide to make it a boy or girl doll), some clothes, and it will be ready for full-time play! It's been a huge learning experience (so don't look to closely - there's lots of errors), but I've really enjoyed it.
Yesterday, my boy looked through the new Magic Cabin catalog, exclaiming about something or other every few minutes. Next thing I knew, he plopped at the table with paper and markers informing me that he was "drawing what I want. Then I'm going to hang it so everybody can see!"
It turned into castle-drawing and other doodling, but I love it. He hung it all by himself with electrical tape (which I also love). This boy is a drawing fanatic, and it makes me so happy.
